Black Myth: Wukong won't be released on Xbox Series X/S as originally planned. The independent studio Game Science has announced that their game on the Microsoft console version will be delayed due to necessary optimization work, coinciding with the publication of another trailer from the opening ceremony of the Summer Game Fest 2024.

The game will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC on August 20th. The premiere on XSX/S will take place at a later date (currently unknown).

The video from the event hosted by Geoff Keighley, which has already concluded, also reveals an extensive collector's edition of Black Myth: Wukong. It contains, among other items, a 40-centimeter figurine of the main character and numerous other physical and digital additions. This edition is priced at $399.99. A cheaper alternative is the Deluxe Edition: for $170, instead of a monkey king statuette, you will receive a bronze bracelet.

The title is now available for pre-order on Steam. Purchasing the game before its release will provide buyers with a handful of digital bonuses. The standard edition is priced at $59.99, while the digital deluxe edition costs $69.99.
