Later Today, Alan Wake 2 Will Get Night Springs DLC. Remedy Announced Game's Boxed Edition
An expansion for the survival horror game Alan Wake 2 was announced at Summer Game Fest 2024, and interestingly enough, its release will take place in a few hours.

At Summer Game Fest 2024, Sam Lake from Remedy officially announced the Night Springs DLC for Alan Wake 2. It will contain 3 episodes and it will be released today on PC, PS5, and XSX/S. Furthermore, in the fall of 2024, the game will be released in a boxed edition and a collector's edition. It may also be expected to be released on Steam at that time, as the one-year exclusivity period of the Epic Games Store will have ended.

Next week will see the occurrence of this year's Summer Game Fest. During the event, new high-budget games will be presented, among other things. There are many indications that fans of the game Alan Wake 2 released last year will be especially pleased with the upcoming stream, as it will include an expansion for this survival horror game.
How do we know that? The studio responsible for the title, Remedy Entertainment, has changed its name on social media to "Poison Pill Entertainment," and also added the company's motto, which reads "Since 1995 Night Springs City." It seems that the changes are related to Alan Wake 2, and the appearance of the town of Night Springs in Alan Wake's American Nightmare will be the main theme of the first paid expansion to the game.
Additionally, journalist Geoff Keighley, the initiator and host of the Summer Game Fest event, responded to the "new name" of Remedy studio with a very expressive emoticon on X. This is a kind of confirmation that the expansion to Alan Wake 2 will appear at this event.
Alan Wake 2 is to receive a total of two large paid adds-on. In Night Springs we will see subsequent episodes of the series of the same name, focusing on the protagonist's visions and dreams. The second expansion, The Lake House, will offer "two separate adventures" linked to the North-West Coast and the Dark Place.
